On February 22nd, 2012 I was invited to speak to a body of students at the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology in Galway, Ireland. It was an incredible opportunity. The conversation took place over an hour and a half period, was conducted in a loose manner with questions and answers throughout. The core subject matter and title of my talk was:
Getting in the Gaming Industry: Knowing the Customer
My sponsor and great friend was Damien Costello, from GMIT:

Feedback on the event has been positive:
Hi Jason,
Just a quick note of thanks for yesterday’s talk. I was waiting to get some feedback from the students before I emailed. They were very impressed with the talk and remarked on your enthusiasm for the industry as a whole and for Bioware as a company. I was talking to the 2nd 3rd and 4th year Software Dev students and they took a lot from what you said about breaking into the industry.
They all told me the same thing – bring in as many people as I can to give talks.
Anyway, talk soon and many thanks
Damien
